Snuggle Up with The Great Interior Design Challenge

We’re in full agreement with Charlie’s Mum blogger, Susan Grey, when it comes to cracking telly. Spring might be just around the corner but there’s still a definite chill in the air which makes snuggling up with something cosy on the telly a real treat. Right now Susan has been indulging in one of our BBC favourites – The Great Interior Design Challenge – and she’s written a hilarious review and blog about the show which will lure you right in! Charming and witty, this is a really fun post which will get even the least interior design-inclined viewer itching for a revamp. Great stuff!

WIN the Beatrix Potter Collection on DVD

Do you remember the beautiful Beatrix Potter animations from your childhood? These magical tales of animals like Squirrel Nutkin, Mrs Tiggywinkle and, of course, Peter Rabbit, are enough to make any adult feel a little nostalgic. Now the superb Deep in Mummy Matters blog is giving you the opportunity to share Mrs Potter’s charming and imaginative world with your little ones, by winning the 150th Beatrix Potter anniversary box set: The Beatrix Potter collection. Head over to Mummy Matters now to enter the competition on the blog (there are nine easy ways to do so!) and fall back in love with these gorgeous stories – and share them with your little ones, of course.

If your home is the victim of seemingly endless clutter, it’s time to reserve a weekend or two to get to grips with the backlog. Bohemian Inspiration from Moon to Moon

Do you love all things Bohemian? Perhaps you’re partial to just a touch of hippy-ish charm? Whatever your preference, Moon to Moon is soon to become your go to blog for Bohemian interior design. Crammed with amazing homes, full of eclecticism and romance, along with buckets of inspiration, there’s a whole world of gorgeous spaces and charming ideas to get lost in here. We especially love the most recent instalment in the “My Nest” series, featuring an absolutely magical Aladdin’s cave of a home located in the Adelaide Hills in Australia. Keep tabs on Moon to Moon and follow her on Tumblr for regular doses of utterly covetable Bohemian design and tonnes of inspiration you can recreate on a shoestring.

Mum Reinvented’s Top Design Principles

It’s easy to get hung up on the little details when you’re redesigning a space at home. From wall colour to throw cushions, it’s all-too-common for those small extras to take over, preventing you from seeing a true big picture. This is a problem which fab blogger and design aficionado, Mum Reinvented, addresses with panache in this handy blog. From focussing on creating harmony and achieving a good visual balance, to giving spaces a strong focal point, there’s tonnes of top level stuff to mull over here, before you start obsessing over your perfect new Moroccan inspired rug. Well worth a read for anyone planning a revamp in 2016.
